Angela N. Romans has spent 25+ years as a leader in nonprofit and public sector organizations, focused on education. She currently serves as founding Executive Director of Innovation For Equity, a network of changemakers across the education ecosystem committed to transforming the life outcomes of Black learners of all ages through connecting and cultivating Black education leaders and advancing innovation. In her roles, Angela has provided capacity-building and coaching to organizations and senior leaders in areas of strategy, governance, racial equity, collaborative action, adaptive leadership, talent management, and higher education access and success. Angela began her career teaching high school math and science. She holds degrees in biomedical engineering and education, both from Harvard University; is an alumna of both the Annie E. Casey Foundation Children and Family Fellowship and Innovation For Equity Senior Leadership Fellowship; and serves on the Board on Gulf Education and Engagement of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She lives in Washington, DC.
